This card is really in great shape. Until you notice that someone wrote "Phillies" under his name. Presumably this was done between 1958-1960, when Dave had the best name ever for a Philadephia Philly. Dave Philley's career spanned 21 seasons (he played in 18, and lost 3 to military service) and he received MVP votes in three of them. His wiki page states that he was known as a prolific pinch hitter, and looking at his BR page (which is one of the more unique set of stats I've ever seen) bears this out.
Stats: 18 seasons, 1700 hits, 729 RBI, .270 avg.
