I've been forced to pay more than I would like to for 52's of late. That's a drag, and a strain on my hobby budget (can't wait for hi numbers). However, the cards I've been buying have also been in much better shape. I can't deny that's been kind of nice. I still have no problem with poor cards, but I can't say I mind having a couple examples of nicer ones in my 8 pocket sleeves as well. "Excellent" is probably a stretch for this card of "Bud" Podbielan, but compared to a lot of my 1952's, I might as well go ahead and label it near mint.
